The #1 son is now a licensed driver. He passed his driving test today. Not with a score as good as his ACT score, or as good as his written driving-test score. But he passed. Which is more than his friend Concussor can say, after two tries.

I think you are going to need more then anti-anxiety meds!
Jennifer,
Yes. I am an excitable type.
He wants to drive to a basketball tournament tomorrow, and take a friend to a restaurant afterwards. They are only allowed one passenger that is not family at this step of licensing. I told him that the friend's parents had to give him permission.
I will be a nervous wreck until he gets home. Maybe I shouldn't have used the word 'wreck'.
Milestone indeed!!! I remember those days. I refused to ride with mine when they were in that stage.
Oh HM don't be such a nervous 14 car pile up about it.
jk. That was mean.
Seriously though, he's been driving since he was a fetus, right? $300 car and all that?
Kathy,
Sometimes, I have to close my eyes.
Mommy Ann,
Thanks for reminding me of his driving expertise. At 10, he was tooling around the field in his $300 car(manual transmission), toting The Pony to and fro, commanding him to sit in the back seat and wear his seatbelt.
